New construction in a saturated market isn’t always the best play if you’re looking for steady returns.A place like Rochester has way better fundamentals—lower buy-in, strong rent-to-price ratios, and stable demand from universities, hospitals, and major employers.

I will be lowering the asking price and seeing if that will help in the sale of these properties.

Buying a large new build home can also work well as a house hack as you can charge a premium rent, and generally most bedrooms built now a days have en suites (at least in my market).  

One of the things I'm trying to figure out is if I'm better off getting a few lower cost properties or on higher priced property. 

He said he charged $400 for his, is profiting well on it since he got his property for a third of market price some years before, and both he and his tenant are happy with it.

Is the higher price agent inflating to get the listing or is the lower price agent just not keyed in well enough in the specific neighborhood?

Going back to the OP, I'm not sure what fees NY charges for LLCs and how many properties or businesses he has but I think these "asset protection" companies overcharge people.
