Just reaching out to the community to seek opinions of the experts out there.

We will be purchasing a new one to be placed on the same lot in a community (chattel) in the next few months.

It's scary to offer money on a house that looks like this...Pre Florence comps in this upscale gated lakefront community: 340-375 KRepairs needed           175kOwner asking              100KQuestion is how trustworthy are those comps on this side of the storm.

If it passes, real estate values will plummet and SLT will be a quiet community of second homes.

Again I can't speak to how much intrinsic satisfaction you get from your work, however - building something from scratch, or re-vamping something real and tangible that has a big impact on a community I'd think might provide a more meaningful day to day.On the pure financial, per above - let's say as an example you could create 200k-250k worth of net worth (less liquid, sure) per year - producing 30k/year income at year 2.

I am thinking about purchasing a townhome in an up in coming neighborhood in Summerville, SC (Nexton Community), but i am not sure if it will be a good rental property down the line.
