Wonderful----I used to live in San Diego also if you'd like any local tips.I'm an international business consultant and started me REI journey a couple of years ago and I LOVE DIY and learning to do things on my own, and also understand in this investing journey that it's always good to "ask for help" and have great circles of investor friends to bounce ideas off of.

Also, taking another newbie under your wing who is looking to learn can help you with some of your tasks, like an intern relationship.

Hello everyone,I am currently interning at a property management company, and we use Rent manager as our software.

I invest almost exclusively internationally but I personally wouldn't touch Dubai with a 10-foot pole, irrespective of the macroeconomics (if I wanted to invest there, I'd wait for the next crash).

People coming for work, traveling nurses, interns, business people etcI had about 7% vacancy last year.

Also, NJ and CA are probably very similar in terns of eviction.There are, however, situations where someone may need a longer term rental because of damages to their own house and needs to move out while theirs is being repaired.

No perfect brokerage to be sure, but I like that we have such a robust internal referral network via Workplace.
