I wasn't sure on how the beam would need to be supported so I brought in an engineer to look at the structure and with his suggestion was able to place the beam directly on the old foundation.

If they're good, here are my three best suggestions:- Approach other investors at a local real estate investors association (REIA) meeting- Advertise the deal here on BP- Talk to any professionals you work with (doctors, lawyers, engineers, accountants, etc) and ask if they have IRA money they want to put to work
