To answer your first question, there is no tax benefit to buying a late stage note vs early stage.  

I am free Wends late afternoon / eve , and all day   Thurs and Friday . 

Most cases I will usually require about 15K to finish the project and then get an equity partner for that 15K.

I used to frequent the forums more and read up on real estate investing, but lately life has had me focusing on the here and now.
