I mean if you get a great property manager who gets good tenants and is hands on, it certainly could work out.But, they could also easily take advantage because they know you are out of state.

We have had other candidates who say they are self employed but our process requires tax returns - although we have had a couple who could produce the appropriate pages, most of them go on to admit they don't report it and thus are unable to verify the income.

Appraisals on commercial property cost between $2,500 and $3,000 so I do not want to spend that kind of money if the appraiser is going to check my tax return and see a huge list of expenses and vacancies because of the construction.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Ramsey
