New member in South Florida

Hey everyone, my name is Hassan Johnson; I live in South Florida and am completely new to Real Estate. I was in the United States Air Force for six years and moved back down to South Florida in the beginning of 2014. Since then I’ve completed my undergraduate degree in Info Tech, held a variety of positions in I.T., started a family and am possibly looking into starting my graduate degree in January of 2017.

I’ve been quite interested in entrepreneurship for a while now and have chosen Real Estate as the venture that I believe will launch me into an entrepreneurial career as well as trading in FOREX. A mentor of mine by the name of Nick Ruiz had a podcast on BiggerPockets and through that, I was able to find this wonderful site chock full of RE info and those that are involved in RE.

My immediate goal is to get started in Real Estate wholesaling (the right way lol) and eventually move into rehabs/fix and flips and eventually buy and holds. With the knowledge that I seek to gain through experience, I hope to be able to one day give back to my community and teach others the things that I hope to learn. I look forward to networking with everyone especially in the South Florida area (for now) particularly those that are hard chargers and preferably know of or have a good meetup or mastermind group that I could join.
