We were growing and self financing at the time, so we needed to keep cash around to finance any future projects.This property along with the one we were building and the one we were buying in Deal A above, would make us the dominant player in the town.We were willing to pay $190k, but no more. 

You can't hold your own against a real player.

I'm not saying these guys are not big players in the space, but I've never heard of them.Beware of people who just teach classes as their income.  

Who is selling and who is buying at what price and who are the players involved.

@Suzanne Player  if you don't use light colors and marble I have had a problem with just initial and turnover seals on granite. 

However, just go to the search box and type "We buy Houses" in your city and you will probably find a major player in your area.

I am a big player in that area..

@Brandon Belk It wouldn't be a terrible idea to go down to Fayetteville and meet some of the players in that market. 

Here in D/FW, they are a major player.  

Most importantly you need to convey confidence and assurance you are a player and not just wasting their time.
