This is a great advocacy group in New York State called Under One Roof Coalition. 

My job consists of door to door roofing sales and inspections so that has also been another big option for me.

I've had electricity bills through the roof from guests who put the AC at rock bottom and leave it like that all day.Anyway - I appreciate the feedback, but I'm more interested to see if anyone has a recommendation on the thermostat criteria I listed.

One possibility: see if you can go to a temp agency and look for work in construction trades only - HVAC, roofing, electrical, framing, etc, as a general laborer.

We put all new window, roof, siding, HVAC, Electric, Plumbing, basically everything new.

This is an old building, flat roof, right against the road where it will get more wear and tear.

Needs about $50k in repairs as it's been vacant for years- new AC unit, new roof, siding/soffit repairs, new flooring, etc.

Prepping foundation and structure (beams, foundation, roof etc) between $25k and $50k (ball park) : contractor has to see plans to bid accurately.

I generally start by talking with my inspector then on his recommendation I reach out to the appropriate vendors (HVAC, roof, etc.).
