Best Z-Wave/Nexia Thermostat for Vacation Rentals?
Hi all,
New to Bigger Pockets, here.
I have a short-term vacation rental, and I want a thermostat that meets the following criteria:
1. Z-Wave/Nexia Compatible.
2. Is password protected, or otherwise does not allow guests to make any changes to any of the settings.
3. Allows the owner to set temperature parameters so guests can only make minor changes in the temperature settings.
Does anyone know of a thermostat that meets all of this criteria? For some reason, it's so hard to find informative information about thermostats. Even when I read their online instruction manuals, they never clearly answer the questions I might have.
Thanks everyone! :)

Hey @Steven James, the Honeywell TH9320WF5003 will allow you to lock the screen and keep people from adjusting the temps. It is WiFi only, not Z Wave.
I believe the Honeywell YTH8320ZW1007/U will fit your bill. It is Z wave and you can lock the ranges.
I understand you wanting to keep people from messing with the temp, but I think you are setting yourself up for some 3 star reviews. If people can't adjust the temp to their comfort level, you will get dinged.
There are a lot of threads on this topic on various other forums. People are concerned about guests changing the temps, especially in hot areas. They think the thermostat should be set to 78 in Palm Springs. They get upset that a guest sets it to 72.
Frankly I think this is too much. When I see my thermostat set to 60 when it is 80 out, I do change it. Otherwise, I let people be comfortable and happy. You might want to rethink this strategy.
You seem quite adamant about not allowing guests to set the temps. Have you had a constant problem with it?
