The big unknown is if the banks will implement this on the majority of their cases, and how quickly they follow up.

What is a big unknown here is what the state legislature will/can do if metro does pass this, but they ended up wrapping their session doing nothing....yet.  

There are several unknowns that you can not control (politics, neighbors objections, etc).

An assessment could very much be the same as having to repair an unknown leak or a foundation issue.

Some basic financial thinking, etc...I think this ranks up there with cutting the main stack and getting an unknown desease, as far as the bad and the ugly that go along with the good of this business.And seriously @Jim K., I never knew that about main stacks—thanks for putting that out there.Good Luck!

We are so used to having what feels like guaranteed money each month from our LTR that we are managing fear of the unknown on the STR side.Thanks so much for any advice.

Not a problem if coming from a fellow investor; more a problem if it comes from a friend or unknown person who isn't involved in real estate.
