I don`t have a lot of money to play around with, and am acomplete greenhorn at almost every aspect of RE, but decided to get my toes wet and see if I could dust off my long-unused talent for picking winners and profitable money-makers, as well as my negotiation and sales skills, and take them to the next level, and applying them to RE.To that end, I made a small start to test out these unfamiliar waters, and bought a small, buildable, river-view lot (w/all utlities at lot)last month, for the price of a cheap used car.

Read a bunch of stuff to see what attracts you the most.Consider your skills, your resources and how you can best leverage where you are starting from.There are many ways to start and some work better for certain people based on their personality.There is no best place other than starting from where you are.In REI you are the one who will make or break your success.

As you interview with various real estate brokers, you will probably be asked the following questions: 1) Your reasons for choosing a RE career, 2) Any roadblocks you have to overcome in your day to day life and what are your solutions to those challenges, 3) Do you plan to focus on buyers, sellers, property management or some variation on those areas, 4) Your business experience and related skills and your plan for success.
