Last time I checked the burden of compliance with FIRPTA including withholding funds from the foreign seller is on the buyer.

Honestly, getting INTO NASA is hard (especially as a foreigner), but once in, it is pretty "easy"... 

At this time, I'm personally looking at cities in the Carolinas, and I absolutely love Atlanta (GA), but foreign investors are driving down cap rates and its difficult to find good deals over 100 units, but they're out there. 

Now I just need to find a nice location where I can continue making purchases over the years, a good deal, a trustworthy property manager, and potentially some means of financing suitable for foreign investors (although I do have some contacts in this final area already).

Listening to foreign leaders and economists suggest it is a long way from getting resolved.

The company seems to offer financial support for foreign investors, but I'm also considering setting up an LLC from the get go.So much to learn...!

My dad was foreign service for a while (he bought 2 homes) and we have friends who purchased multiple homes.

Hi everyone,I'm from Israel and would like to start investing in US single family homes.From what I understand, after preliminary research, is that the "lease option" strategy can be a good way to start.Also I'm thinking about Buffalo, NY as the location to focus on (at least at the beginning) as it has a relatively low price-to-rent ratio and frequently flying there from Israel would probably be easier than to farther states.I'd love to hear your advice on:- what should be my first steps as a foreign investor?

Or, perhaps register your native state LLC as a foreign entity in each of the other stars — its foreign because a LLC is formed/registers by State and across the USI haven’t done this.
