Hi, from a British citizen based in Japan

Hi all.

I am new to the site and the whole concept of real-estate investment. A true newbie. I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.

I’m a British citizen in my mid 30s and have lived in Japan for the last 14 years. I own one single family house out here (which I live in with my wife and kids) and have no other properties. I was introduced to the site by fellow Japan resident @Daniel Mills and I’m looking to start my journey in real estate, make connections with others, and find useful information to help me take the plunge!

I’m interested in:

- Japan property and land

- UK property (as I guess that’s the best place for a good deal on loans for me as a citizen??)

- US property (thanks to Dan’s words of advice)

Keen to connect with you all, grow my education on this topic and start investing!

Hi @James York,

You're off to a good start. I'm sure you'll get lots of advice from this site and all the educational materials BP has (Books, Podcasts etc.). If you search on the site you can probably find some past posts by those of use in Japan and maybe some UK investors.
