NAR has great lobbying power, but the drive to open the information architecture and platforms -- aka the drive for convenience -- is dominant to resisting change in the marketplace.This doesn't paint the picture of a really strong opposition (alternative real estate models for brokers, MLS, agents, etc.), but it's a start and at least they're off their couches and into Capitol Hill, where the battle gets waged.http://www.inman.com/hstory.aspx?

Here it is: http://militaryfinance.umuc.edu/calculators/InvestmentProperty.htmlI went and looked aty my first property today, and even though I have officially got the ball rolling, I don't think it will work out.The house is listed for $124K, and needs new carpet throughout, a lot of scrubbing, and new paint inside and on the front porch roof.

Maybe it is if you find the right school and educators that care about sharing there wealth of knowledge and real life expierences on how to have a successful career in whatever they choose to do.Anyway if anyone has some good useful information on what to read or the best advice to getting started in real estate with no knowledge of the business, but someone who wants to get started as soon as possible.

Instead of replaceing the windows I thought about just repairing them if the windows are still in good shape and they just need alittle fixing up paint wood puddy maybe a weight fixed. what is everyones thoughts about trying to save the windows.

Although I had all good houses in good neighborhoods I didn't want to spend any part of my retirement driving back and painting, roofing etc so I sold out.
