In Southern California, this is hard to do!

I just graduated with my Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville (SIUE). 

I'm not sure they'd even want to deal with a loan because it would still be taxable income that they're trying to avoid.Managing it from afar, us being in Southern California while they're 15 minutes away from it, would be weird I think.

I'm from Atkinson, which is Southern NH near Salem NH, so not sure of how neighborhoods in that city are.

There was no real concrete answer outside of, "It's probably just not a southern thing."

We've been thinking southern FL, but are looking for area recommendations if there is a better market.

I live in Southern California so anything less than a half mil is enticing but all the research I’ve done did not include these kinds of properties.

But of course if you’re plugged in there, and know the value added plays (gentrifying neighborhoods in southern Tel Aviv, or tearing down and building vertical) then I know smaller players can do very well there.

It's not like Southern California where I'm originally from where if you can think of something there are probably dozens of meetups for it already.
