Newbie from St. Louis, MO/Edwardsville, IL area

Hello all, 

My name is Riley Hoffman. I am 24 years old and am originally from Springfield, IL and currently live in Glen Carbon, IL. I currently have no background in real estate, but am looking to get into flipping houses. I currently work for Missouri Department of Transportation as a Highway Designer. I just graduated with my Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville (SIUE). 

My goals for real estate investing, are to be able to invest on the side while I keep working. I am trying to get my Professional Engineering License, so working for me is a necessity for at least 4 years. I would also like to have financial freedom by the time I am in my mid 30's and I would love to travel! I came to be on bigger pockets from looking up possibilities to further my money rather than it sitting in my bank account or throwing it in the stock market. I am looking to get more involved in the St. Louis, MO market.
