I live here in another very dry climate, sunny Denver, Colorado.  

Right now places for sale seem to have dried up, but the situation is still the same.

Air conditioning acts like a dehumidifier - drying and circulating the air throughout the house. 

I did have the drywall removed and had blowers on the wet areas to assure it was 100% dried out and avoid mold issues.. along with had the area professionally cleaned after.

I'm looking for recommendations for an investor- friendly Title Company in Colorado Springs Colorado as I'm hoping to do a "dry double closing" as to avoid the fees associated with a "wet double closing" and needing to get transactional funding.

If you are flipping that is the best way to do it. if you are holding, you may find refinancing challenging if STR financing dries up due to the current banking environment.

But for me, most academia-based jobs are pretty equally dry and boring even if they're intellectually stimulating but they're tolerable especially if I'll know that they're only temporary.

Another thing about hill country land you need to know, ponds drain out and go dry all the time.
