Knock on wood I haven't heard anymore (I feel bad for my mason, I know he did the work right) but my attorney is aware and ready if anything ever comes of it.I agree, some people need to accept being adults and dealing with house repairs, when owning a home.

Has anyone ever created a partnership with a vacant home owner where owner retains ownership of the property and the other person (me) acts as a property manager for renting and they split the profits.  

For example I ask, do you have pets, ever been evicted, length of time at current job, current job, etc. 

@Ayman Elmasik, Have you tried using any of the below#1 using your house for short term rentals (aka AirBnB type) and then relying on companies like Evolve to manage it.

Owning one of those is the easiest thing ever, the hard part is finding it and getting it under contract.

Part of that plan is having enough money to cover the mortgage if the tenant does not pay for what ever reason.

If you ever do decide to make the switch to commercial real estate, I would be happy to give you all of the advice I can!
