I spent four years in Lawrence, Kansas so I know Manhattan decently well.

I work in lower Manhattan and the girlfriend is in the mid Town area.The deal I have in place was basically handed to me via family.

I've gone through several software companies and I'm currently managing $200mm worth of office buildings in manhattan using this software. 

Account Closed runs a great meetup monthly in Manhattan...it's during the school week, but maybe you could make it at least for the speaker and some pre-speaker networking.
