I was in tax extension black hole scrambling to extension deadline. 

The statute does not have any "punishment" if the investor misses their first 10-day deadline.

It has been a few days since we submitted the offer and are approaching the deadline we also put in on the offer.Does anyone know if they sometimes take a few days to get back (most likely waiting for other offers) or if they simply do wish to accept our offer or if there actually is other offers. 

The most important of these may be the contractor who is responsible for completing great work on a budget and a deadline.

I would suggest speaking with your attorney to keep the contract in force since you may miss important deadlines

For instance if you need more time for due diligence or Settlement deadline you can do an extension in an addendum.  

I missed the registration deadline and would like to be your Significant Other if you don’t have one to attend with.

When writing a contract you will have dates and deadlines that you can get out of a contract with proper reasoning.  

The deadlines passed and no work was being done (literally!).

But hopefully that could be done late enough that it comes after the seller's refi deadline.
