Hi John,Some inexpensive idea to get you kick started...1) Door knocking - commit to knocking as many doors per day as you can handle2) Bandit signs - bring them with you when you go door knocking...put them out3) Put as much money as you can towards direct mail 4) Tell everyone in your world what you do, that you are looking or homes to buy = networkOnce you get a deal, beef up your direct mail.  

Does anyone have any tips on how to borrow money to kickstart my first Section 8 venture without having to deal with interest payments on a personal loan just to establish myself in the US financial system?

A partner will take a good chunk of the profits, but he/she may also save you thousands of dollars in legal fees, years of muddling through all the issues involved in investing and ultimately kick start you investing career in a profitable manner. 

In a few months I will be quitting my job, moving back to Orlando (A market I know very well) and using a $300,000 investment to kick start my venture in real estate.

Personally, I believe that it is better to start investing sooner rather than later to get your feet wet and kickstart the power of compounding.

If you’re able to house hack and do it properly, its a decision that kickstarts your investing journey with minimal upfront investment and low risk.

If, however, I felt I could do significantly better outside of the 401k OR I wanted to generate income outside of my 401k for whatever reason (e.g. kick start your investing) then I would definitely consider the 401k loan.
