Setting aside for the moment any criminal or landlord registry checks, I'm curious to see what type of credit checks y'all use and how well they work for you.

For example, I have one tenant in a 2 bedroom apt who pays just $90 while Section 8 makes up the rest of the $925, and another tenant in another 2 bedroom who pays more at $175, evidently because he makes more money.With regard to screening, Section 8 does not allow anyone here in California to receive housing assistance if they have any kind of a criminal background.

I have never heard of an arrest around any failures to disclose of this type since it is a civil matter and not a criminal.

I understand that we can still get criminal, eviction and courthouse checks.

Not to mention, that it's probably a criminal action depending on state law, too.No, there are other- legal ways to fix and boost your credit scores.

I use them to run credit and criminal check.
