A mortgagee can object to the notion (after another interested party asks the court) based on the fees a receiver would charge eroding their recovery.   

As long as my monthly cost is lower than the rent I'm paying in Manhattan, I feel like that is better than what I'm doing now, and I get to build some equity along the way (feel free to challenge this notion if you disagree also).

We together pre qualified for 160k but that was under the notion of us selling this first.

The notion of it being stopped is just that, a notion, not a reality.

@David Mo I am not sure where your drawing these notions from on inflation and interest rate but nearly everything you said to that was completely incorrect, especially that a MORTGAGE is a hedge to inflation, it is not, not at all, a mortgage is just a promissory security for a debt, it is nothing to inflation.

Like million's before me, I love the notion of Real Estate as an income stream.
