@Austin Holmes, as you can read from Jon's response, it is never that easy.  

As Jon and Jonathan mentioned, your best bet is to get out there and find a way to meet people, not just make a post and wait for people to come to you.In person networking events are always the best option, in my opinion.  

As @Jon Reed said, you have to have something of value to gain mentorship from someone who is already in the game and playing.
