It is called VSI insurance which covers lenders in the case of a borrower "skip" (borrower defaults and basically can not be found) or post repossession damage to vehicles.

Some tasks that you could ask a VA to complete in reference to REI would be,  mass cold calling, creating a direct mail merge, scraping FSBO sites, managing Craigslist ads, skip tracing leads, finding frustrated landlords, and scraping county tax records.

@Carl Whitfield use the HCAD website for the tax records in case the lot is in Harris County.I recently used a skip tracing website to get the phone number and contact info of an owner and It worked good.

But I didn't sell SFRs, I had a leg up on most agents (as I can articulate highly complex ideas) and my niche is still completely open and untapped.If I were to do it again, I would have skipped brokering, and been a principal from the get go.

I'll skip all the 'you should haves' because well, 'should' is a word based on insanity (too late to should) - and recommend that you convert your building for occupancy by Section 8 tenants who are screened and have some employment (so they're not just hanging at the property all day). 

Buy something that will actually make moneyIf this is too much work or doesn't fit you, then I would skip to #5 and sell that property.
