Basically - any legal filings that come into play during that redemption period could cost you the house - but you wouldn't lose your money as long as you didn't default on your obligations to the court / auction.In Florida there is no inspections of foreclosed properties.

I would just say that recently in my experience diversifying out from STR into motels/boutique hospitality has been high risk and set some people off path - it can be a very lucrative and good move - however, if you are having a lot of Success with traditional STR - it seems like a lot of people are looking back and saying they wished they stuck with that and expanded with what was already working!

Using the LLC asset only makes more sense to me, but I've heard it from tax attorneys for example that the appraised value is what's used each year, until The Person owns 100%, then it's game over.If anyone has direct knowledge or first hand experience or can point me to a specific reference document (IRS perhaps?)
