If someone truly desires your rental unit, they will make the accommodation to "find their way to a bank" and make a cash withdrawal for your move-in funds.In this instance, I would sacrifice a bit of convenience in the short term to assure that this person has the integrity I think they do.

My own expected response to a Code Enforcement complaint will be to wait, evaluate, and then send a written letter informing Code enforcement that after careful review I find the property to be in complete compliance, and ask for any specific facts they have that could indicate otherwise.

I have recently confirmed with the county that it is zoned as a duplex and is out of compliance as a triplex.I think the zoning can be obtained with a $1500-2000.
