This is an expensive place and it's not drivable so everyone needs to arrange and pay for airfare.This is tough.When you did your research prior to purchasing, did you find other similar properties that were already successful or is this more of a hope everything will work out?

If there is anyone on W2 income with a relatively high tax bracket, could you please tell me if you successfully reduced your taxes with your rental property investments?

We love the area and know that STR is very successful down there.

I know people are doing it and some successfully but I don't know if the conditions here make sense for me to invest personally... yet.

Much easier to delude one self into purchasing a "mentorship" program for $30,000 or more ("put it on your credit card; you'll make it back on your first deal so it really won't cost you anything") and believing that after a "3 day boot camp" you'll be able to compete successfully with people who have the education, knowledge, experience and track record and have been doing it for years.  

Successful investors don't get caught out (insert surprise) to win the long game.

I mainly focus on New Jersey, New York, and Maryland for opportunities.I'm all about creating Joint Ventures with capital partners for mutual success.
