If you buy that $200/month cash-flow rental in Oklahoma City and you want to visit it twice a year you stand a good chance of blowing that $2400 annual cash-flow on plane tickets, car rentals, hotels, food, etc.

At least he was truthful.Prior to the internet age, an Oregon television station did a story on how much information could be found on a person by taking a photograph of a car on the freeway as it passed under an overpass.

@Will Barnard  @Karen Margrave I just sent over the listing of the bid dog I owned and sold for 5 mil in 04.. no pics but it was a cool home it was river frontage on two sides  3 acre vineyard.. 8600 sq ft.. 5 bd 9 bath 6 car garage big boat launch.. and what was unique about it  it was the only property in all of Oregon that has frontage on two navigable rivers. you land a float plane in front ski fish for salmon and steelhead etc etc.

I'll have about 7K in my savings account when I do get back to the states (after buying a car), and will probably get started right away at a job to try to start saving a bit, but I definitely would not have the money to put a 20% DP on a nice 100-200K 4plex plus repair costs.
