Unless that LLC isn't doing anything for you right now...I normally recommend (again, not an attorney but based on my previous experiences) that you create LLCs in the states where you're holding the properties.

Worst case scenario the previous owner used to own both properties before the one further back was seized, so I'm pretty confident under existing precedent that the courts would grant me easement under unity of title and necessity.

I bought a lot of foreclosed property after the collapse and my guess is that in every one of them the investors in the previous syndication had a 100% loss.
