I've lived here for a few years and have my own rental in the area - tons of development between RWJ, Johnson & Johnson World Headquarters, & Rutgers University, plus there's a direct train into Manhattan. 

Short-term rentals (STRs) can be lucrative, though there are headwinds ahead in Houston.

If the rental market is extremely profitable, you dont need more incentives to buy rentals, you were going to do it regardless. 

Im asking for recommendations and advice from midterm rental hosts in los angeles or in California.
