Hello all, my name is Lakeisha, and I relocated to the DC area about a year and a half ago from Boston, MA.

Ypur $800/mo loss is a direct result of your employer's decision to relocate you.

With that in mind, I did my research and relocated out of California where I could do the above.....not saying you have to move, but many do.

Under my nose, and I admit I wasn't paying enough attention, a 15+ year trend quickly reversed: from buying a nice rowhouse after getting your first decent government job, which ostensively never relocates and always requires you to be in the office, to, screw that lets move a few minutes out of the city, get a much larger home with some land because I’ll just commute, and likely only have to do that 3 days a week.

Recently relocated to Connecticut and would love to get in touch with fellow investors in the area. 

Many people who get those high x numbers are by either relationships with insurance relocators or corporate connections.

I feel like I didn't do enough research, but my project ended for my company in Tampa and my daughters were in Orlando, so I decided to relocate and try to make it work closer to them.

I've relocated to AZ from the NYC area in 2022 and I am ready.

I began investing as a remote investor on the west coast and have since relocated to Indy to focus on building our portfolio and helping other investors so feel free to reach out if you'd like more info!

Additionally, I am not house-hacking since I will be relocating after graduation, but would want to keep my investment property in the area near my university.
