It has been our experience that such appliances usually fail within the warranty period (manufacturing defect) or failures from use occur  5-8+ years out.  

The South Carolina Manufactured Housing Association has a list of licensed transporters and set up people.

Don't go there.Be careful with loan officers that get into giving tax advice or accounting to help you qualify, tax advice requires registration with the IRS and they are usually outside their expertise, an opinion is one thing, instructing you to do something can be illegal. :)         

I am beginning to lean towards manufactured homes because there are so many in our area and they are often in my price range that I am looking at.
