The "tenant" quickly left in his car again.So, someone engaged in an obvious scam has broken in, installed new locks and is illegally occupying their property...

@Duke Giordano I have recently encountered the same thing with two syndicate groups I invest with.

I would just take into account the recommendations that they make and be mindful of everything you have encountered moving forward. 

Most of their buyers I encountered had never done even one deal before.Think about the above paragraph real hard.It would be my contention that a buyer with a reasonably responsive agent and a specific plan (area and rehab type) could secure a better deal using their same tactics straight off the MLS.
