do not bother making an offer until you see the inside. drive to western mass and go look at the property. you will get crushed financially if you make an offer based on pictures without seeing it or having someone with experience and in your best interest looking at the property.

The wholesalers enlist bird dogs with ads on craigslist "learn how to find real estate deals for free I will train you and you'll make up to $500 per deal" etc etc.Face to face door knocking en mass in target areas gets deals 10x better than a stack of letters or post cards.Idea: you might check in craigslist for these ads and answer them.
