Do we really need to spent months and money on changing zoning, get permits, paying to architect for plans, before we actually ask contractor for cost estimation of that work?

ADU’s add value but the time it takes with permitting, worming with contractors is a pain.

Was a permit pulled and did all inspections pass.

I would just send a notice to the current tenants reminding them that smoking in the unit is not permitted and let them know you will be charging a pet fee/pet rent for any animals in the unit!

I travel there more than I should and never thought about the short-term rental market until now.My biggest concern is always the permitting/compliance when entering a new state/city but they have an entire page dedicated to it so that makes life easy.That being said is there anything that a "non-local" should know about besides the regulations?
