So I gave up and now the conversation goes like this:"What do you do?""

Not sure if that's standard or due to my type of account with them (Private Client...I have 3 IRA's, a solo-401k, and Rollover 401k so total with them bumps me up into their Private Client level banking).Their interest is non-existent (I use Ally.com for holding money @ 1.65%) but I've never had a problem with them. 

I funded about 50% through private money and about 40% through my own personal savings and a loan against my 401K.

I've made a lot of connections in the area (unfortunately not in REI but lots of private businesses), and am receiving good information about where to buy and the risks of other areas.
