With that, I am deeply connected to the tiny home industry to the degree of my organization actually being a part of the under way ASTM Committee that is actively pursuing tiny home standards to help jurisdictions with the adoption process.Even in my R&D phase of putting all of this together, I actually had conversations with residents in mobile home parks.

@Chris Mason He's got an application underway with Chase right now, but I believe that Wells and BofA turned him down, because he has not had consistent income from his retirement account previously.

However, almost all of this inventory continues to come from homes where construction is still under way, which is not very helpful data.

I’m military also so I’m going underway soon for a while which makes this situation complicated timeframe wise and ability to work on such a huge deal.

all that would most certainly create a huge backup if the main sewer line was disconnected while the repairs were taking place. i have a hard time imagining how a sewer line repair would cause a backup without someone using some plumbing related fixture and putting something down the sewer lines. it could have been your neighbors if you are on a shared sewer line but if that is the case, someone (again likely you as the owner unless you had a general contractor managing the sewer repair company - an unlikely scenario) should have asked the neighbors not to use their plumbing while the repairs were under way...

As soon as I can get this STR underway it will certainly be something I incorporate into future properties in one of several ways. :-) 

I've been reading a lot but wouldn't be against buying a str first and getting that underway prior to a primary.

If you have the flexibility, you could relocate to the area you plan to invest in at least temporarily once the work gets underway so you stay involved and make sure the work is getting done.
