So I turn down smokers who don't tell me they smoke (non-smoking house).   

I inherited these tenants' fairly good pay on time both are related i just have a little of a issue with one tenant son he is on the lease he's constantly in and out the building at odd hours of the night also a little bit of a pot smoker I should I speak with the parent about this ?

We first provide a prospective tenant with a profile that lists our criteria for that property. ie, credit score, minimum income, non-smoker, no cats, dogs with fees/rent, etc.If they self screen themselves beyond that, then they fill out an application which must include a picture of their driver's license.

The damage is done as far as the smoke is concerned and smokers need a place to live until they quit.

Or now that they are on our Buyers List, they've got a smoker coming their way later this week.

Maybe they do not meet my criteria for residency, such as a recently convicted felon or smoker.

I would be interested in seeing the law that says I have to allow smokers on my property.Smokers are not a protected class of people. 

We checked it out, and loved everything but it's need for smoker remediation.
