@Andre KeyThe commercial air scrubber linked in the previous post will be what you need- BUT, in addition, you will need to clean the A/C coil and probably replace carpet, duct work - cleaning won't help - I had a smoked house and we re-painted every surface/primed with kilz, replaced carpet and cleaned coil and ducts--- smell was improved, but not gone until we replaced ducts- The air scrubber is a great starting point with a new project - it will remove 90% of the smell before you even paint-Good luck

I can thin set backer and shoot it down with a coil nailer faster than someone can screw it down without thin set and know that my system will be more forgiving to the existing conditions of the floor.

I always install a brass shut-off valve into a wall alcove behind the refrigerator and run a coil of copper tubing from that valve to the refrigerator.

Now I ensure the feed line is at least 5ft coiled behind the fridge as you will need a good 3-4 ft of clearance to get behind it if its between base cabinets.

Just choose how you want to live.The concept of tankless sounded great but there is maintenance on the heater coils and, for some models, there is a longer delay in getting hot water out the faucet.
