My childhood dream was to buy a house!

With your wedding approaching the last thing you should be doing is adding the stress and distraction of putting this deal together.Once in a lifetime deals come along with amazing regularity but, you and your bride will have only one wedding day.

I first attended college in 05 as an 18 year old and by 21 I was leaving school early to pursue childhood dreams.

Wilmington also has a big college student presence with UNC-W being located there and the constantly growing community colleges.Not certain about the real estate market although a childhood friend of mine is a successful RE broker there. 

So as everyone else is probably sitting at home with their lovely brides or their mothers, I'm away from both.

The son's wife (he is in his late 50s) told me it hadn't been occupied in about 2-3 years, & that it was her husband's childhood home.

Imagine how hard this is for your wife, coming from a background where "Someday My Prince Will Come" was an omnipresent part of her childhood, where being pretty was prized a million times higher than being capable.I'm not saying your wife is shallow.

When I bought my brand new block 1910 sqft 4/2 house in 2009 for $180k, I looked around in the nicer areas of Altamonte Springs that I knew from my childhood.
