Also, keep in mind that an IN multi member LLC would require a separate tax return, so you would want to budget for extra admin fees.

They are designed particularly with mother-in-law or next generational living in mind.

Also keep in mind that if the concern is lawsuits, they can still name you individually in a suit and it is just another battle.
