My plan would be to buy this building, have the income from the apartments and storage to cover the mortgage and then gut the storefront and open a liquor store or bookstore and personally run it.

Then come back to the forum and ask specific questions to improve your knowledge in a particular area.BiggerPockets bookstore has "The Book On Managing Rental Properties" by Brandon Turner that is very good.

The bookstore on this site has some great resources, your local public library (& interlibrary loan) will probably have some good titles as well.The Bigger Pockets podcast explains a lot of concepts and the guests come from all walks of life and tell their stories.

Which of the books at the book store are most suited for European readers that isn't just covering the US market?

I have read a few of the books in the bookstore as well, there are some really great ones in there by Brandon Turner that are perfect for beginners.
