But that's a $10k+ bill and I still don't KNOW if its going to solve the problem.I could really use some help here.I've had several professionals comes to the house and a lot of them say conflicting things, so its all been very confusing.I bought an air particle counter and that didn't show anything bad.I use a MERV 14 filter for my AC system intake and have a small HEPA air purifier in the house.Not a great experience with my first property, but I'm learning a hell of a lot.Thanks

Here is an interesting article on the topic from 2019.Speaking of water, there is also a pipeline large enough for a VW Bug to drive down connecting downtown Phoenix with the nuclear power plant out in Tonopah (on the other side of Buckeye) and they reuse the purified waste water to cool the reactors out there.

Or is getting shellac on any wall at any time helping improve air quality in our unit, and if some smoke gets in while we wait to finish the ceilings, we can just run an air purifier or ozone machine to remove those odors from the unit after we finish the ceilings a few weeks later.
