only made it through the first page...sorry...I have zero problems with pets, I have serious problems with pet owners.The problem is animals do not have the same rights as people and so then some people treat animals with cruelty, which happens to be their right to do so in many instances.The result is if I were to allow pets, I would inevitably find myself in a moral argument with my tenant - no thanks.I consider animals at a residence pets and animals kept in the barn livestock.

I heard a retired ATF agent saying on TV that an individual selling a gun accross state lines could be in violation of federal law, but that if convicted it had the same weight as selling livestock and was a small fine.

You might also check to see what type of pets/breeds are allowable by your insurance with your premium going up.I know this is a little different situation, but I rent a home on 10 acres with a tenant who has a couple of zebras, among other more normal livestock.

Home is not in a HOA, not really in a subdivision, we're just one street with maybe a dozen homes.We have deed restrictions, but those restrictions pertain to what type construction is allowed and livestock (only horses allowed, with a limit of 2 per property).
