A pool is a must-have and the closer you are to amenities or festivals, the better you’ll be.

The city's appeal is the continuous flood of new restaurants opening, the music scene, a festival or 5 every weekend, easy access to beautiful city parks and walking trails and paths, an easy airport to connect quickly, and that ole southern hospitality. 

Thought I would share our success so far and some before/after pictures.We purchased our house in an up and coming Clearwater, FL neighborhood that is very close to the Pinellas trail (a great biking/walking trail that runs the length of our county and is a huge feature in our parts) and just 2 miles from booming downtown Dunedin, FL with tons of great restaurants, breweries, shops, and festivals. 

However, when I was awakened at 2:35am, this had been building for over a year of being awakened so many times or having to wait for them to stop their festivities in the front yard and to quiet down - I snapped.

We just had an interesting opportunity arise-- we have a seasonal theater festival in town every summer, and the company is seeking housing for one it's directors. 

On July 5-9 we have a big festival that draws 1000s of tourist to the city.

Plan festivals in the commercial area.

By the way Jean,I forgot to mention that I spent my summers in Aspen at the festival for about 5 years in the 90es.

Some things that would give this draw are:-beaches-amusement parks (think Disney World)-festivals/events (Iron Man, Mardi Gras, KY Derby, SXSW, etc.)
