Question About Renting New Construction

Hi Guys - brand new member here... hoping for some good advice. Fiancee and I are building a brand new home. It's fairly large (4400 Sq/6 bedrooms) We will own it free and clear and should be completed around April. Property located in Florida.

Our personal circumstances have changed. We won't "need" the house for a good 2, maybe 3 years.

The house values seem to be higher than what we paid, so we could sell it. But because we did all the things we wanted to do we really don't want to.

Next option is renting it out. I should premise this by saying I do have 2 condos I bought in the crash and I do have them rented out. I guess I am already a landlord (but I have very few problems).

Any advice on renting a house this large? I realize that only a select amount of people could rent a house this large (rent comps are in the $3200 a month range).

Would love to pocket 30K per year and in 2 years (maybe 3) move into our home.. Ideally, without it being trashed..

Open to any and all advice. Thank you!

David
