While I know they will come down eventually and I can refinance I am feeling the sting right now, and with not alot of applications coming through I find myself open to more ideas like this (rental Arbitrage).

Your options are to appeal the appraisal, make it agricultural (community garden or farm crops), raise bees or anythng like that to get the taxes down.

I haven't had any experience with it personally, but I have some contacts at Bee Safe, a brand based in Greensboro, NC and focused on climate-controlled storage facilities in retail locations.  

He always intoned the word in English with great gusto in his Greek accent, "Eef yuu wan' to bee (pause as he reverently breathed in) SERIOUS..."

Some DA looking to make a name will think "Huh, this has good PR value" and will launch a "sting"....
