The area we live in outside of Seattle (Bainbridge Island) has seen an explosion of appreciation these last few years so our gains are likely upwards of 500k.

With that chain I would worry less about the beach area since they have the island to hang out and access to the restaurants and such will be more important.

I am Interested in East Bronx, City Island, Country Club possibly Pelham Bay.

But he is an investor which experience in construction and many real estate deals on the island.

I actually had a roommate do this to me once, and I told her if she was looking for cheaper rent she could move over the bridge (room rentals are generally cheaper on the mainland vs the barrier island where my house is).
